Our Journey started 15 years ago with Lizai Bondi, then Mamasan Bondi, Mamasan Surry Hills, and now we’ve evolved into Bad Mama.

We Love Drinking

Sit at the spectacular Sakura Bar, watched over by Ji Gong - The God of Drinking. Choose from our extensive list of Cocktails, Wine, Craft Beer, Sake & Shochu. We also have a very large selection of Whisky - both Asian & Western. We age our Negroni Mix for 3 months in French Limousin Oak Barrels.

We Love Eating

From our Signature Dish One Bite Beef to Dumplings in a spicy soup, from Sashimi to Duck Pancakes, from Sang Choi Bow to Chilli Chicken, from Pork Belly Steak to Veggie delights - our food is the soul of Taiwan meets Japan, with a bite of Chinese Sichuan spice. Very nice.

The ARIA Award winning legend Jonathan Zwartz presents Jazz, Blues & Funk each week. From Reg Mombassa to Tina Harrod, to a member of The Rolling Stones - they’ve all played the intimate stage at Bad Mama’s Dungeon, our dark underground Whiskey Bar. Extensive Drinks Menu

Bad Mama has an extensive drinks menu, our original & eclectic Cocktail list features fresh creations, or you can ask for some classics if you prefer. We do great Espresso Martinis. Our Negronis are Barrel Ages for 3 months in French Limousin Oak Barrels, which gives then incredible richness and complexity.

We have a unique range of quality Japanese Craft Beer as well as Sapporo on tap. We also have local cider & beer from Sydney Brewery. Our Wine list features Australian & International wines. Our range of Whisky, especially Asian Whiskey is something to behold and then we can take you on a journey of Sake, Shochu & Umeshu. Cheers!
